As Mice and Mystics was my game purchase, I was the one who opened the box and went through the contents and character cards. Obviously I ended up seeing all the characters who appear at the end of the Sorrow and Remembrance story line while punching out the game components.Note: If you don't know, I'm not telling or even hinting in this thread. I hope others won't as well.
I've since put 'those' character cards into a nice opaque envelope to keep the story firmly focused on the current chapter and not thinking about 'when do I get to meet so-and-so' for the other people in my gaming group.
Seeing as the writing is so excellent with Mice and Mystics, I was wondering if Jerry had though about adding that 'extra touch' and include some kind of spoiler prevention in future expansions to keep the big reveal intact until the right moment in the story? (I don't let the player read ahead in the story book) Or am I always destined to have to wade through the spoilers to be able to do that service for my gaming group?
BTW: I'm not bemoaning having the story spoiled, I'm happy to do this and will certainly enjoy the reveal through my groups reactions when they get to that chapter(s). I was just wondering if it's something that Jerry or Plaid Hat games might have thought about?
Sidenote: Do I need to be wary about anything in the newly released "Heart of Glorm" expansion?
