So we've been playing chapter 2 today and it felt like it was impossible to lose.- courtyard: don't move for 2 rounds, chances are crow will kill rats anyway.
- get catnip
- lily starts with cheese and just one roach. As long as lily have cheese, roach aren't a danger at all. Add to this that over the game Lily will get cheese from own role and from minions defending against her bow - she just won't die
- she will get 3 only more minions (back of courtyard, the dining tunnel, dining place). If it just so happens that these are always roaches - walk in the park. Chances for this are quite high. We got her the ability that allows for spending one cheese to get +1 attack - most of the time, roaches didnt even hit her. And even if they did, she had abundance of cheese anyway.
- get grape, use it well - up to 4 roaches gone without a hassle
- dining room, Brodie. is not a threat at all as he is insta killed with Catnip
- it's easy to farm roachmaster, thus getting one page free.
- catnip grants cat tamer, so it helps even more with Skitter-Clack
- on top of that, fork grants ADDITIONAL 2 pages, woot (we didn't have tinkererer in group so we had to go there)
- after Lily is released from the trap, she can run away and shoot from distance, so the threat of her death is nullified.
Overall, either we got very lucky with some rolls/encounters, or this chapter is just easy, after relatively hard chapter 1.
After a while, I've figured, that it is super easy to level up mice if they stick together, because all mice can gather cheese for one, share and make it level up. At the end of this chapter, each mouse had two abilities and it felt like it made them very powerful. Sure you can use just one at once, but having a choice is key. For instance Tilda having Cure and Major Heal made her ultimate healer. Colin with Encourage and Give Order radically influenced our chances, by allowing rerolls and additional attacks.
I was just wondering, what happens in next chapters, as I already feel it's getting way too easy. Will the challenge ramp up? What are your thoughts?
