Anyone who gets that reference gets kudos from me!I just watched Rodney's Watch It Played series and bought the game.
Watching the series, I couldn't help but be reminded of playing AD&D first edition maybe 30 years ago. Modules I3-5, Desert of Desolation. Particularly Pharaoh (I3) and the Lost Tomb of Martek (I5). They are old school. Full of combat and interesting 'puzzle rooms' where the players have to figure out what to do whilst being beset by enemies. It feels as though M&M is capturing that vibe in a lovely, simple way.
Has Jerry, the designer, played any of those? Is it just a happy co-incidence? Has anyone else played these, or other old school modules and found them to give a similar vibe?
I am very much looking forward to playing through these M&M adventures.
Thank you Rodney and Jerry
