Hey guys.First of all: we are in our first run through the game and we want to experience the game "all new" so please keep it as spoiler free as possible with my question. It's highly appreciated, thank you.
We really fell in love with this game and are currently painting all the miniatures before we want to play further. We played the first 5 chapters of the core game. As we are painting the miniatures the thought of having marker representing models or "upgrades" for models seems more and more strange to us. There are some really pretty replacement miniatures on thingverse/shapeways, but I think an all out investment would be around 100$. So before I jump into an buy like this I like to make sure that the money is well spend (and gives me enought use of the bought stuff).
So my question is:
Which charakters and replacements occour in later chapters and expansions of the game or can be used for it?
For example: I'm really looking into buying Captain Vurst (great model)

Will he play a role in later chapters? Will he occur in expansions? If not is there a similar "special rat" charakter the model could represent?

Maybe you can give me a feeling about the enemys in later chapters and expansions. Are the enemys from the core game reappearing or can the models from the core game be used to represent something? What other kind of replacement would you recommend for the expansions (if there are any - looking for a description like - "You should look for a Frog with a Spear" or something like that)?
